Circle Quilt ( Crafter's Companion Threader's Cotton Tail Fabric )

Supplies:

3 Fabrics about an 1/2 yard of each ( Threaders Cottontail Fabric )
White Fabric 1 1/2 yard of White for the back
1 yard of White for Fabric Framing
1 1/2 yards of Batting
Rotary Cutter
Cutting Matt
Gemini
Threaders 6 metal circle Dies ( largest Circle )
Heat n Bond (lite) 17in x 2 yd
Wash all your fabric

Iron all your fabric

Take fabric for the circle and iron on the Heat n Bond
Cut 30 of the Largest circles with the heat n bond on the back
Cut 30 7" White Squares

Take the Circle find the middles, take the white squares find the middles, iron the circles on the white squares.

Take all squares to the sewing machine and do a stitch around the circles, now you can do what ever stitch you want, I did a blanket stitch.

Lay out your circles in rows of 5, you will have 6 rows.

Sew your rows of circles together with a 1/4 seam allowance

Cut your framing fabric: cut 2, 4 inch strips for the top and bottom
Cut 2, 2inch strips for the sides. Sew your sides on 1st then sew your top and bottom on. You have now finished the top of your quilt.

You now need to sandwich the quilt. Lay your backing down, your batting will go on top of that, and last you put your top on.

Now you can start the pinning so that you can get to the quilting. Think about how you will be quilting and place the pins accordingly, because if you don't when you get to the sewing machine you will have to take pins out which is a pain in the butt and your sandwich may shift.

The last thing will be putting the binding on your quilt.

"Hebrews" Coffee Card ( Skipping Stones Design ) Oct 16th Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to Skipping Stones Design's October blog hop. For my card I have decided to use the Coffee stamp #2 . I colored the coffee cup with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers . This is a Digi stamp so after printing I did wait 24hr before coloring with the Alcohol markers to make sure the ink is completely dry, so I do not have any mixing of the printer ink with the alcohol marker colors. Working with the Gemini Apple Core Dies

Tips for sewing Apple Core Shapes..... This will go on Sale on HSN January 24th., they will go fast make sure you get yours. 1st you will have one that will go sideways which is the Con-Caved Core and you will have one the will be long ways. You always want the con-caved Apple Core on top when sewing together. So my Con-caved apple core is the red strips, fold in half and press a seam. The yellow one fold in half long ways and press. Put right sides together and place the pressed seam on top one an other and pin. This is very important to sew straight. Now match up and pin both outside corners. The fabric will be buckled like the picture and that is fine. It should look like this when taking to the sewing machine. Below is a little video on sewing Apple Core Shapes.
