Spectrum Noir Watercolour Sketch Pad

Just wanted to give you a look at the Spectrum Noir Sketch watercolour pad.  I did a summer page and labeled it Warm Thoughts.  These pages can be colored with the watercolour makers or the watercolour pencils, for this page I used the pencils with a great out come. Just one thing to remember you do not have to be a card maker to enjoy this.  You can color these and frame them for great framed art work and or gifts. This is part of the Today's Special on Aug 16th on HSN, and is also on Auto Ship.  If you are looking to start with watercolors this is going to be a great deal for you.  You will get everything you need to start plus some.  I suggest if you are thinking about getting Auto ship do it, that way you have it coming and if you decide to cancel you can, but you will have that great price locked in.

As you can see you can get great shading, but I will tell you, you will have to layer, you can not get this with just one coat.

I used Glossy Accents on the water to give it a wet look.

As always if you have any questions please let me know and Happy Crafting......

Simon Says Wednesday: Anything Goes

Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge

I love when you start a card thinking it will be one thing and it turns into something completely different, so needless to say the pictures that I did take as I went along don't match.  I got so into what I was doing I stopped taking pictures lol.....  When I started I wanted to do a lady bug card, not sure how it turned into a turtle but it did and I Love it.  The back ground I sponge with Tim Holtz Distress ink Broken China.  I then used a circle scalloped to do the shaker part of the card.  I stamped and colored the turtle with Spectrum Noir Makers.  The stamp is a turtle carrying a present but I changed it to a pot of planted hearts with twine around it.  I then used vellum for the sentiment.

This card is entered in the       Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge

Video Easter and Spectrum Aqua

Well with Easter coming I was asked to do a project with   Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers.  I am going to show you how to dye Easter eggs with  Aqua markers.  Now everyone knows how I feel about Crafters' Companion and Spectrum Noir Products and this is just one more reason why I LOVE them.  So many things you can do with these products.  Now let me mention this is only my 2nd video and this one I did with a voice over so that makes it my 1st.  Please everyone be nice, lol, and if there is a reason to look on the bright side every person I  have spoke to tells me it gets easier and, lol, I guess we will see about that. I would like to also mention that HSN is having a 24 hour Crafting Event on May 9th watch for some great buys, you can shop for Crafters' Companion and Spectrum Noir items anytime.  Thanks and Happy Crafting!

Wedneday Simon Says: Fantastic Florals

Ok here we are for another great Challenge.  This one is Fantastic Florals Challenge, this is just in time for Spring.  Maybe it can start getting warm!  The challenge can be any kind of flowers stamped, handmade, store bought, whatever kind you want.  So here is my take on this Challenge.
I used regular card stock, and I did an ink resist of the flowers on the bottom and the birds up top.  I sponged Diamond Press Ink in green for the grass and sponged the sky in Ranger Tim Holtz's Stormy sky.  The stamp set and the Folder was a free gift when I purchased the magazine Simply Cards & Papercraft.  I love the tree embossing folder,  and stamps they beautiful. I will let you know I had a little problem with the Stamps and I had to re-ink it over a couple of times.

I then Colored the tree with Spectrum Noir markers.  I just followed the embossed lines from the folder.

I then took the die and cut out the little flowers for the tree.  After the flowers are cut I took the Spe…
