Wedneday Simon Says: Fantastic Florals

Ok here we are for another great Challenge.  This one is Fantastic Florals Challenge, this is just in time for Spring.  Maybe it can start getting warm!  The challenge can be any kind of flowers stamped, handmade, store bought, whatever kind you want.  So here is my take on this Challenge.

I used regular card stock, and I did an ink resist of the flowers on the bottom and the birds up top.  I sponged Diamond Press Ink in green for the grass and sponged the sky in Ranger Tim Holtz's Stormy sky.  The stamp set and the Folder was a free gift when I purchased the magazine Simply Cards & Papercraft.  I love the tree embossing folder,  and stamps they beautiful. I will let you know I had a little problem with the Stamps and I had to re-ink it over a couple of times.

I then Colored the tree with Spectrum Noir markers.  I just followed the embossed lines from the folder.

I then took the die and cut out the little flowers for the tree.  After the flowers are cut I took the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens and gave them a little shimmer.  I added all the flowers to the tree and still they needed something so I put a little rhinestone in the middle of each flower.

I then added the back card stock which is a deep pink and matches the flowers to the tree card stock.  I then added the Thinking of you stamp to pull it all together.  I did pop up the the tree card stock off of the pink card stock to give is a little dimension, I all so popped up the Thinking of you stamp.

Now I would like to tell you that I have always signed and dated my cards on the back, and if I add the card to any kind of challenge I will also put that on the back as well, this just lets me keep things organized and I know which ones I added to which challenges.

  1. This is such a lovely card, it reminds me of that time just before dusk in the summer when everything is perfect and still.
