Pop up Cards

Hi everyone and welcome back, this is Lisa and today I want to go over two pop up cards that I did.  What fun!!!!  I am in love with all things Disney so needless to say I had the best time making these  two cards.  The two stamp sets I used is Tower Princess and Up for an Adventure from Kindred Stamps

Tower Princess don't you just love her???  This is the inside of the card.
This is the front of the card

Step 1. Cut Dark Blue Card stock 4.25 x 5.50
Step 2. Cut White Card Stock to 4.50 x 5.50
Step 3. Take your white card stock fold in half and score.  Turn over and with yellow ink and a dabber color the front of the card.
Step 4. Take you Lanterns and black ink and stamp the front randomly.  Done with the front of the card.
Step 5. Take the dark blue card stock and fold in half and score.  I used Stampendous Pop Up Dies set and I used Die number 7, the Platforms  Die.  Place the die on the score line and cut using your die cutting machine.
Step 6.  I used watered down Gesso Splatters for the back star look.
Step 7. I used white smooth card stock for the Lanterns on the inside and colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  When done coloring cut them all out.  The smallest Lanterns I glued right to the back night sky.  The medium I put 1 dimensional double side foam on.  The biggest I put 2 dimensional double side foam on.  This was to give the look of some of them being far away.
Step 8.  I colored the little guy green guy and the Princess with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers
Step 9.  Put double sided foam tape on both the little guy and the Princess and put them on the Platform.
Step 10.  I put the sentiment down in the front.
Step 11.  On the Lanterns I give them a shinny effect by using Glossy Accents.
Step 12.  I put some purple ink with a dabber on the inside of the white card stock and glued the two of them together.
.
For this one I did the same as above and colored with Spectrum Noir.  I used Dies #1 2 3 & 6 for the pop ups, and just used Light Blue, medium Blue and white card stock.  The clouds and the sun I used from my Stach.   I Love how these little guys look in a pop up card.

I hope you enjoyed and if you have any questions please let me know.  As always Happy Crafting.

"Hebrews" Coffee Card ( Skipping Stones Design ) Oct 16th Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to Skipping Stones Design's October blog hop.  For my card I have decided to use the Coffee stamp #2 .  I colored the coffee cup with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers .  This is a Digi stamp so after printing I did wait 24hr before coloring with the Alcohol markers to make sure the ink is completely dry, so I do not have any mixing of the printer ink with the alcohol marker colors.  I had a great time creating this card.  Please scroll down for pictures, supplies (  link's ),  a how toooooo, and a tutorial at the end.  Make sure you visit the links below to see other cards made by Skipping Stones Design Team.  Please make sure to leave a comments on everyones creations, let them know how much you like the designs they have created. The cup stamp is  coffee stamp #2 it is Colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers.   Cut White card stock to 4 1/2 x 5 and Decorative Card stock to 4 1/4 x 7 7/8  inches. Add some silver Sparkle Tape

Working with the Gemini Apple Core Dies

Tips for sewing Apple Core Shapes.....  This will go on Sale on HSN January 24th., they will go fast make sure you get yours. 1st you will have one that will go sideways which is the Con-Caved Core and you will have one the will be long ways.   You always want the con-caved Apple Core on top when sewing together.   So my Con-caved apple core is the red strips, fold in half  and press a seam.  The yellow one fold in half long ways and press. Put right sides together and place the pressed seam on top one an other and pin.  This is very important to sew straight. Now match up and pin both outside corners.  The fabric will be buckled like the picture and that is fine.   It should look like this when taking to the sewing machine.  Below is a little video on sewing Apple Core Shapes.
