Just a Note to Say (Skipping Stone Designs) 1/2/18

Happy New Year everyone!!!!! Welcome back this is Lisa and I am going to do a Birthday card. I am using a Butterfly Stamp and a Sentiment from Skipping Stone Designs called Heart Song. I used my Cricut to help out with this card just a little, because this is a digital file and it is very easy to use your Cricut.

I cut two of the big Butterfly for a shadow effect.

I used the Cricut to take the music notes and Duplicated them to fill the page. This is the top layer to the base of the card. This measures 3.75 x 5.25. The base of the card will be 4.00 x 5.50.

I wanted to use a very lite color to sponge across the whole top layer of the card. I wanted an antique look because I am adding the Rose gold Metallic Luster.

I took my finger and put the Luster only on the edge of the butterflies.

I also took some of the Luster Dust and applied to the Sentiment, it will go on very dark, so just take a baby wipe and take of enough so you can read the words.

I added my 1st layer to the base with foam tape. I then put on some sparkly ribbon from my stash with tacky glue. I put the 1st Butterfly down with tacky glue for the shadow then with foam tape I put the other larger Butterfly on top I then added the smaller Butterfly with some blue pearls and the Sentiment ( Just a Note to say Happy Birthday ).

The lighter color gives the card such a classic look that I just Love. If you have any questions please let me know, and as always Happy Crafting and Hope this New Year goes Great and you accomplish everything you want to.

"Hebrews" Coffee Card ( Skipping Stones Design ) Oct 16th Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to Skipping Stones Design's October blog hop. For my card I have decided to use the Coffee stamp #2 . I colored the coffee cup with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers . This is a Digi stamp so after printing I did wait 24hr before coloring with the Alcohol markers to make sure the ink is completely dry, so I do not have any mixing of the printer ink with the alcohol marker colors. Working with the Gemini Apple Core Dies

Tips for sewing Apple Core Shapes..... This will go on Sale on HSN January 24th., they will go fast make sure you get yours. 1st you will have one that will go sideways which is the Con-Caved Core and you will have one the will be long ways. You always want the con-caved Apple Core on top when sewing together. So my Con-caved apple core is the red strips, fold in half and press a seam. The yellow one fold in half long ways and press. Put right sides together and place the pressed seam on top one an other and pin. This is very important to sew straight. Now match up and pin both outside corners. The fabric will be buckled like the picture and that is fine. It should look like this when taking to the sewing machine. Below is a little video on sewing Apple Core Shapes.

HSN show JULY 26th Recap
