Christmas Star ( SSD ) December 19,17

Hi everyone this is Lisa how is the Christmas Shopping going?  Are you Done? Hope so because we sure are running out of time.  This week I did get this Christmas Swirl 2 Card finished and wanted to share with you.

I used my Cricut  to help with this card.  I wanted to do the back ground as one of the layers filled with stars.

Using your Cricut is very easy.  You just upload your image into your Cricut program and duplicate images, you can also make the images any size.  This works great if you have the digi file.  If you would like to do this with a stamp set that you have, just stamp out on paper and scan into you computer, you will need to make the file a jep. file for the cricut.

With the big star I covered it with Metallic Lustre .  Now you can get this in different metal colors.  I love it.  It can also be used on the edge of cards to give it an aged look.

I took the base of the card that has the stars on it and gave it some color.  I used Stampin up Green ink pad.  I had to stay lite with this because I want the main focus to be the Rose Gold Star.

Now when I started with the big star I was just going to do in red ink but I changed my mind because it did not stand out enough, so I used the Rose Gold Metallic Lustre, I think it looks much better and more like a star that you would put on your Christmas Tree.

I took some Gold and White string and wrapped around the star and tied a into a Bow.

I put the sentiment up at the top with Double sided Foam.

I then added the star with Double sided Foam and put a couple of pearl for embellishment.

I hope you enjoyed this Christmas card, if you have any questions please let me know.   I also want to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and be safe. Happy Crafting.

"Hebrews" Coffee Card ( Skipping Stones Design ) Oct 16th Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to Skipping Stones Design's October blog hop.  For my card I have decided to use the Coffee stamp #2 .  I colored the coffee cup with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers .  This is a Digi stamp so after printing I did wait 24hr before coloring with the Alcohol markers to make sure the ink is completely dry, so I do not have any mixing of the printer ink with the alcohol marker colors.  I had a great time creating this card.  Please scroll down for pictures, supplies (  link's ),  a how toooooo, and a tutorial at the end.  Make sure you visit the links below to see other cards made by Skipping Stones Design Team.  Please make sure to leave a comments on everyones creations, let them know how much you like the designs they have created. Working with the Gemini Apple Core Dies

Tips for sewing Apple Core Shapes.....  This will go on Sale on HSN January 24th., they will go fast make sure you get yours. 1st you will have one that will go sideways which is the Con-Caved Core and you will have one the will be long ways.   You always want the con-caved Apple Core on top when sewing together.   So my Con-caved apple core is the red strips, fold in half  and press a seam.  The yellow one fold in half long ways and press. Put right sides together and place the pressed seam on top one an other and pin.  This is very important to sew straight. Now match up and pin both outside corners.  The fabric will be buckled like the picture and that is fine.   It should look like this when taking to the sewing machine.  Below is a little video on sewing Apple Core Shapes.
